A law firm with an office in the Capital has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with an Edinburgh golfer.

Morisons Solicitors, which is based in Erskine House on Queen Street, has clinched the three-year deal with John Gallagher, the touring professional at Swanston Golf Club, who was the 2007 Scottish Amateur Champion.

Mr Gallagher is famously known as the "cack-handed" golfer as he is right handed and grips every club with his left hand below his right, which is a rare attribute.

Roddy McIntyre of Morisons said: "We are delighted that a player of John's calibre will be displaying the company's logo on his clothing, golf bag and blog.

"John has been playing well in recent months and it is a great opportunity to gain exposure for the brand."
