A historic tea hut, which was a favourite with Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson and star golfers Ernie Els, Gary Player and Sam Torrance, has been sold on eBay for £1,500.

The hut at the Carnoustie Golf Links championship course has sat beside the tenth hole for more than 60 years.

Now, owners Pat Craigie and Bill Wharton have sold the "unique piece of golfing history and heritage", on the popular online auction site to an anonymous buyer from "the North-east of Scotland".

The sale has gone through for £1,500, after the eBay listing attracted some 3,461 viewers.
