Bruntsfield Short Hole Golf – Tuesday 21st August 2012

On a warm, dry, slightly breezy evening, (only!) nine members played in the Stephen Ross Memorial Trophy.

Congratulations are due to Paul Middleton on winning the Trophy with a net 104 (92+12), one stroke less than James Morton (96+9=105), Fraser Gordon (112–7=105) and Stuart Rose (102+3=105).

By winning the Monthly Medal winners’ play-off, William Wright wins The Handicap Medal, William beat Allan Lockwood on the basis of having the better inward half, both players were 105+5=110.

Also, Stuart Rose beat John Hargreaves in the final of the Cobban Cup.

Paul’s gross score of 92 equals the course record held by James Morton and Paul.

Paul’s adjusted handicap is +13.6 (exact) playing off +14, which is, as far as I am aware, a new BSHGC record low playing handicap
