On yet another not-so-warm night 13 members played in the April Medal. The scoring was not low. I would suggest this was primarily due to the length of the grass around the greens. After my comments last week on the grass cutting, I am reliably informed (by the Captain) that the course was cut last Wednesday before the competition on Thursday, otherwise things would have been even worse. It wasn't clear to me whether the grass had been cut since then, perhaps not due to the Easter Weekend hols, however I am assured (by the Captain again) that the grass around the greens will be reduced in height in due course. On the bright side, this has given the members who have played over the last 2 weeks a competitive edge over the late starters by giving them the chance to increase their handicaps!

Anyway, congratulations to Scott Allison on winning the April Medal with a net 109, 3 strokes less than Stuart Thomson (net 112). The result is attached and is shown below.
