10 members played in the competition over the winter course.

My recollection is that, last year, the corresponding competition was played on a dull cold evening, this year we played on a warm sunny evening.

The scores this year, both net and gross, for the 6 members who played last year, were, on average, 3.5 strokes/person worse: hopefully, I can ascribe this primarily to the condition of the greens (which weren't actually green) rather than to the failing abilities of the said 6 members.

Anyway, congratulations to William Wright on winning the competition with a gross and net 57.
